Alex Garant's "Dreams of Dreams"

People's Printshop artist Alex Garant's solo exhibition, "Dreams of Dreams," is currently on view at Stackt Market in Toronto, Canada.

In this series exclusive to Stackt Market, visual artist Alex Garant presents her biggest works to date. Her larger-than-life characters featuring her signature style display one's battle between their inner self and outer persona. As long periods of staring into nothingness collapse with lucid symbolism amid resting hours, our newly found unfamiliar world fed inspiration for this collection. On a technical level, Garant defies the effects of transparency while using an alla prima method. Her creative journey pushes her to almost-abstract compositions, contrasting with the pieces' realist figurative elements.
