Rod Luff

Rodrigo Luff is an Australian artist living in Sydney. He creates ethereal figurative works of women and nudes in beautiful dreamlike settings, his works are ornate and lush, replete with elaborate references to the natural world. Luff studied traditional life drawing and painting at the Julian Ashton Art School in Sydney from 2006 to 2009.

Since graduating, Luff honed his practice through four solo exhibitions in the U.S ( Los Angeles, San Francisco, Long Beach) and several group exhibitions. Luff's palette is vibrant and his sense of light luminous. He explores a feeling of the otherworldly by capturing his subjects in trance-like dream states, suspended in mysterious atmospheres.

Luff is also co-curator alongside Ken Harman for the annual "Moleskine Project" exhibitions at Spoke Art Gallery in San Francisco. These began in 2011 and feature artwork from a variety of international artists.
